‘Your Dominican Republic’ Photography Contest

The Dominican Republic has launched a “Your Dominican Republic” contest for Canadians to showcase their favourite photos of the Caribbean destination.

Contestants submit or vote for their favourite original photos that feature the cuisine, geography and culture of the Dominican Republic. This nationwide contest offers participants the chance to win all-inclusive travel packages for two to Puerto Plata, courtesy of Air Canada Vacations.

Two prizes will be awarded: The first for the most popular picture that receives the most online votes and the second for the winning voter selected at random by draw. Each winner will be awarded a seven-night, all-inclusive travel package for two with accommodations at the Grand Bahia Principe San Juan Hotel in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

There are two ways to enter:

Most Popular Picture: Contestants to submit their best original photo of the Dominican Republic. Submissions must be the participant’s own original work and must not have been a winner in another photo contest or promotional activity. A jury will pre-select eligible pictures. Participants will receive a message confirming that their picture has qualified and inviting them to share their picture on social media: Facebook and Instagram. The participant who obtains the highest number of votes (for their eligible photo) online will win. Photo registration ends on Feb. 14.

Winning Voter: Participants to vote for their favourite photo of the Dominican Republic. The winner will be selected by an automated draw. Voting ends on Feb. 28. The draw will be held on March 18.
