WestJet Expands YYC Service
WestJet has launched new, non-stop daily service between Calgary and Terrace, BC, and between Calgary and Yellowknife, NT.
Flights between Calgary and Terrace will be operated by WestJet Encore’s fleet of Canadian-made Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft, while flights between Calgary and Yellowknife will be operated by WestJet’s fleet of Boeing Next-Generation 737s.
In other WestJet news, the airline launched new daily non-stop service between Toronto and Gander, Nfld., on the weekend, on board Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.
Gander is now the third WestJet destination in Newfoundland, providing further opportunities for business and leisure market travel between Alberta, Ontario and Newfoundland. WestJet Encore will soon follow with flights between Halifax and Gander, Deer Lake, St. John’s and Sydney beginning July 15.
