Waikiki Ocean Club gets new owners, activities, options
With 1,000 square metres of outdoor deck space and a variety of dives, slides and rides, Waikiki’s largest ocean activities playground was re-launched in mid-December. The new Waikiki Ocean Club now has adrenaline-packed water play packages, ground transportation services and private party options.
Recently acquired by Roberts Hawaii, the Waikiki Ocean Club is an expansive and colourful platform conveniently moored 100 metres off of Waikiki Beach. This so-called “Island” serves as home base for a variety of ocean-themed activities. These include diving from three platforms ranging in height from 1.5 to 4.5 metres, blasting down a
4.5-metre wet waterslide, tandem or solo jet skiing, riding a banana sled, swimming in the ocean, snorkeling and sunning. The club is the only operator offering jet skis fronting Waikiki Beach.
Waikiki Ocean Club is for all ages and admission includes complimentary shuttle transportation to and from Waikiki, plus snorkeling gear and ocean kayaks. A la carte pricing is available for jet skis, banana sleds, etc. The base admission prices is $45 per adult and $35 for children five to 15 years old.
