Vow renewals mark progress in renos at Outrigger Waikiki

The return of the vow renewal ceremony at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach marks a major milestone in the progress of hotel renovations that began in March. By September, all guests checking into the hotel will enjoy newly upgraded guest rooms and suites, a remodelled pool and expanded pool-deck area, new elevators and a makeover to the property’s driveway and interior. To date, more than 9,000 vows have been exchanged since the program launched in 2003, providing guests a memorable Hawaii experience. The non-denominational ceremony starts with a traditional Hawaiian welcome chant. Couples are then treated to a hula and serenaded with Hawaiian song before being blessed with a sprinkling of sea water and vows in the Hawaiian language.
