Visitors Help Plant Koa Trees

Hawaii-hawaiianLegacy-Feb27

Hawaiian Legacy Hardwoods has launched forest tree planting tours, inviting guests to walk in the footsteps of Hawaiian royalty and make a meaningful contribution to the restoration of Hawaii’s first koa tree Legacy Forest.

Each guest is invited to plant a special koa tree seedling, as part of a guided tour through the area’s rich culture and history. Located on the slopes of the Maunakea volcano, this historic site was once a majestic koa forest and the personal property of King Kamehameha the Great.

Tour rates range from US$110 for 1.5 hours to US$180 for three hours.
