VAG Showcases Permanent Collection

The Vancouver Art Gallery has unveiled two exhibitions that represent the strength of its permanent collection, showcasing almost 250 works.

“Painted Past: A History of Canadian Painting” offers a rare chance to experience a survey of Canadian historical painting (c.1810-1970) from the permanent collection, with works by artists like Emily Carr, Lawren Harris and David Milne.

“On Stage: Recent Acquisitions” features a selection of works that have entered the Gallery’s permanent collection over the past four years, including works by Ken Lum, Lawrence Paul Yuxweluptun and Jeff Wall.
