Tourism Authority of Thailand appoints new director

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has appointed Chompu Marusachot as the new Director of TAT New York Office.

With nearly a decade of experience at TAT marked by innovative campaigns and transformative projects, Marusachot brings extensive experience and a refined understanding of TAT’s mission and objectives to her new role. She will be directly responsible for leading strategic initiatives to promote Thailand in Canada, alongside the U.S.

Drawing upon her seasoned perspective, she will oversee many of TAT New York’s initiatives to continue to maintain Thailand’s position as a world-class tourism destination.

“I am honoured and excited to lead the TAT New York team. Thailand has so much to offer, and I am committed to showcasing its diverse beauty, rich culture, and unique experiences,” Marusachot said. “Together, we will make Thailand the top-of-mind destination, working towards stronger and sustainable, more responsible, more accessible and more inclusive tourism growth.”

As Marusachot begins her new role, TAT bids farewell to their previous esteemed director, Santi Sawangcharoen.

Under his guidance, Thailand has flourished as a world-class tourism destination. Chompu will build upon his success with the continuation of ongoing projects and strategic plans such as the production of The White Lotus Season 3, joint marketing projects with airline partners such as EVA Air, Air Canada, and Qatar Air, as well as co-op marketing campaigns with Gate 1 Travel, Goway Travel, Direct Travel, and luxury travel partners including Remote Lands.
