Tel Aviv Expects Big Turnout For Pride Festival
Organizers of the annual Tel Aviv Summer Pride festival are expecting the event to attract 30,000 international visitors. The festival takes place in Tel Aviv from June 4 to June 14, 2015
The festival will kick off on June 4 and will focus on the transgender community to raise awareness of its challenges, accomplishments and culture. The event will feature a wide variety of LGBT events, including the Gay Film Festival, a Gay Expo at the Dizengoff Center and beach parties at Hilton Beach. In addition, the Tel Aviv Gay Center will be organizing cultural, nightlife and artistic events in bars, clubs, restaurants and other venues around the city.
The highlight of the festival will be the Pride Parade, which will take place on June 12, starting at Gan Me’ir Park and ending in a beach party. The festival will wrap up on June 14th with a special bike tour for tourists that starts in Jaffa and proceeds through the Promenade and city center concluding with a sunset cocktail party.
