TDC adds third Disney training academy
Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) is adding a third training academy in June, focused exclusively on Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Lines. “Disney provides the product mix that is perfect for our customer base. Our members are actively engaged in destination weddings/honeymoons, family market, cruise sales, leisure vacations and Disney fulfills all of these product strategies,”said Susan Bowman, VP Marketing. “TDC’s training academies are market leading and the proof is in the results. We track the participant sales pre and post and compare them to the network. Often we see upward of a 30% growth in those who have participated in a TDC academy. The combination of the TDC academy expertise, coupled with the Disney educators will make this one of our most sought after academies yet.”The TDC Disney academy will provide a comprehensive overview of the Disney Destinations with a focus on Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line. The program will include classroom training, workshops, product experiences, site inspections and VIP events to ensure all attendants receive the education, tools and confidence to allow them to sell more “magic”with Disney Vacations. “We are thrilled that TDC will be attending a week-long educational program at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in 2013. We know that with everything new at Walt Disney World this year, including the expansion of Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom Park, the opening of our newest Value style resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and so much more, this will be a very exciting program for everyone attending,”said Hayden Yates, director of Disney Parks, Travel Industry Marketing & Sales. This is the first time that TDC and Disney have partnered together to conduct a week long training academy and the first time TDC has focused exclusively on one preferred partner. Both companies feel this effort will produce tremendous results. TDC announced this exclusive new academy at their recent national leadership conference and was well received with great enthusiasm and members lining up to attend.
