Take a ride on the Stanley Park Ghost Train
Every Halloween, thousands of people flock to Vancouver’s Stanley Park for a train ride deep into the forest. According to officials, this year’s theme of Scary Fairy Tales will offer just the right mix of fear and fun – making it a must-do event for young families. Riders can also enjoy face painting, crafts, a haunted maze and other family friendly activities (included with train admission). The Stanley Park Ghost Train runs Oct. 5-31 (11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday; 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday; and 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday). Tickets for the train are $9.82 for adults (youth ages 2 to 18, and seniors ages 65 and older, are $6.25). (http://www.ghosttrain.ca)
