Sunwing Making Travel Easy
Sunwing is making it easy for agents and customers to navigate the new world of travel with more flexibility, insurance options and relevant content than ever before.
The company is offering the ability for customers to change their plans anytime with no fees along with free COVID-19 medical coverage on most all-inclusive vacation packages.
And to help Canadians get back to paradise, the tour operator is also offering savings of up to 45% on popular vacation packages during their Yes You Can sale.
As well, Sunwing has launched a dedicated Travel Requirements landing page on www.Sunwing.ca which takes the guesswork out of the vacation planning process, providing current information on everything from travel regulations, including destination entry requirements, to insurance options, PCR testing information, a pre-departure checklist and helpful tips for returning to Canada.
Samantha Taylor, chief marketing officer at Sunwing, explained: “We want to make the travel process stress-free from start to finish, and help Canadians navigate travel requirements and get back to vacationing under our wing.”
Taylor said that: “Agents and customers will have everything they need right at their fingertips on www.Sunwing.ca, including key content directly on destination and hotel description pages, from entry regulations to on-site PCR testing and COVID-19 coverage. Plus, more valuable information and resources are available on our Travel Requirements page. This is all part of our ongoing commitment to provide Sunwing customers with peace of mind when travelling so they can focus on what matters most: enjoying their vacation.”
Complimentary COVID-19 medical coverage is offered on most all-inclusive vacation packages that include flights on board Sunwing Airlines, and is applicable on packages booked by Nov. 11, 2021 for departures between Nov. 1, 2021 and April 30, 2022.
The insurance is underwritten by Manulife and provides coverage in the unlikely event that customers contract COVID-19 and need to seek emergency medical coverage while on vacation.
Customers can also opt to upgrade to the Manulife Pandemic Travel Plan from as low as $4 per day for full trip interruption benefits, including quarantine costs, new return flights if required and more.
Agents and customers will also be able to easily identify which hotels and resorts offer on-site PCR testing with a new On-Site PCR Test icon and detailed testing tab on applicable hotel pages, in addition to a list of off-site testing locations on the Travel Requirements page.
Select destinations have also been designated as Easy Entry Destinations, chosen for their simple entry regulations and limited restrictions such as no inbound testing requirements.
