Sunwing Commences 787 Amsterdam Service
Sunwing Airlines’ first Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights began this past weekend (June 27).
Only available on the carrier’s twice weekly service from Toronto to Amsterdam, flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays until Sept. 2. Sunwing officials say Amsterdam is strategically positioned in the heart of Northern Europe and is the perfect springboard from which to plan a European sightseeing vacation and boasts easy transport links to many of the region’s “must see” destinations including Paris, Bruges and London.
On board, passengers can choose between three distinct cabin classes. Travellers in Economy Class will receive a complimentary meal service and 25 kg checked baggage allowance. Upgrading to Comfort Class, travellers receive a 35 kg checked baggage allowance. They’ll also benefit from a 33-inch seat pitch together with a complimentary meal service.
Alternatively, the Star Class upgrade option offers seats with an expansive 44-inch seat pitch laid out in a 2-3-2 seat configuration. Passengers can take advantage of complimentary on demand, audio and video entertainment, a choice of complimentary hot meals and snacks, sparkling wine and premium beverages throughout their flight, together with an upgraded cold or hot snack prior to landing. In addition to their carry-on allowance, they are also able to check in up to 45 kg of luggage.
Until July 3, travellers can save $200 per couple with Sunwing’s “Instant Savings” offer on flights to Amsterdam.
