Our Sudden Loss
Family and friends are mourning the sudden passing of Boris Ristic on Mon., March 24, 2014.
Boris was a fond member of the Baxter Travel Media family for close to 30 years during which time he held many posts.
Originally he joined the Company as an assistant to our founder, W.H. Baxter before moving on to publisher of Travelling on Business magazine.
Yet Boris’ fascination with and skills in the area of technology saw him taking on a range of responsibilities in this area over the years. The self-taught web developer was responsible for the design of our first website, Travel Universe back in 1996 and until Monday, our clients’ website needs and the management of our redesigned Travelpress.com.
Boris took on a creative role, sourcing, sizing and adding lots of flare to the photos and images that are used on https://www.travelpress.com and in our Press Today daily newsletter. The editors wrote the stories and Boris did his magic to bring them to life in every image.
Boris will be remembered by his Baxter family and the industry colleagues he has touched.
His humour, passion, friendship and incredible knowledge of cars endeared him to us all.
He will be greatly missed.
