Salute! Sandals, Mondavi Ink Wine Deal
As it continues to evolve the all-inclusive concept, Sandals Resorts announced a new partnership with Robert Mondavi wines yesterday at a special by-invitation-only luncheon in New York City.
Sandals CEO Adam Stewart (pictured, on the left, with Dana Douglas Andrus of Robert Mondavi Winery) said the partnership is a five-year deal and features six varietals of wine from the California winemaker.
“I don’t think we could have found a better partner or product for our guests,” said Stewart at the lunch featuring cuisine off Sandals’ own Discovery Dining menus, including the new Bombay Club, Sandals’ first Indian restaurant, which will open early next year at Sandals Barbados.
In other news, Stewart confirmed that five over-the-water suites, featuring infinity pools and butler service, are being built at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica. They are expected to open next winter.
“It’s the future of Caribbean tourism,” said Stewart, adding the resort company will continue to push the all-inclusive concept “as far as we can.”
“We’re pushing the envelope on every frontier,” he said. “We’re investing in our product, we’re investing in our people. The only time you’ll hear no is when we say ‘no problem.’”
