Rose Thanks Industry For JTB Support

The outgoing Canadian director of the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) in Canada used a Saturday night Toronto farewell party to thank the industry for working with the tourist board during his tenure.

“Thank you all for the support you’ve given to the Jamaica Tourist Board during for the past seven years,” Philip Rose told the gathering.

Rose’s new position hasn’t yet been announced, nor has there been any word on who his successor will be.

Donovan White, director of the Jamaica Tourist Board, noted Jamaica-based Sandals helped with the event and at the subsequent showing of the Jamaican movie Destiny, and said it was “really great to have Sandals partner with us.”

The company has been a “true visionary,” White added.
