Remembering Susan Laurin
Travel industry veteran, Susan Laurin passed away suddenly on Wed., Aug. 2, 2023 at her home in Prince Edward County.
After an extensive career – with companies like Treasure Tours and TransHotels — in the travel industry based in Toronto, Laurin relocated to the Belleville area where she discovered country living and a love for beautiful landscapes along the Moira River.
There she raised her beloved hens, each one named after one of her many friends, supplying the local community with fresh free-range eggs.
Affectionately known as the ‘chicken lady’, she also took on the responsibility of Wedding Officiant sharing in those special moments either on her farm or at local wineries.
A devoted Buffalo Bills fan, a recreational marathoner and an avid wine enthusiast, she travelled the wine regions of Ontario in search of unique vintages to share with her diverse group of friends.
