He always made an impression. And it was always positive.
In an Instagram post, Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts, wrote:
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Brian Roper who dedicated over forty years to Sandals Resorts and the hospitality industry. He was our champion from the beginning even before we opened our first resort, Sandals Montego Bay. A most remarkable person known and loved for incredible warmth and kindness which impacted the lives of everyone he encountered.”
Stewart’s post continued:
“Throughout his career, Brian touched countless lives with his unwavering commitment, exceptional service, eye for detail and passion for making every guest experience memorable. He was a master storyteller with bold wit and a keen sense of humour.”
And he added:
“Caribbean tourism is the beneficiary of his legacy of extraordinary leadership and generous spirit. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sally, his children, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside Brian. He will be greatly missed. Walk good Brian.”
