Pursuit Re-Imagines Miette Mountain Cabins
Pursuit has introduced an updated look to its popular Jasper wilderness lodging, unveiling the Miette Mountain Cabins.
The collection of classic cabins and cozy lodge rooms received a name refresh in addition to upgraded guest cabins, common areas and lodge rooms.
Miette Mountain Cabins, formerly Pocahontas Cabins, features warm wood interiors, classic stone fireplaces and common spaces designed for enjoying the mountains with family and friends.
It’s located in the historic Miette Hot Springs area of Jasper National Park, providing an accessible outdoor experience, near natural hot springs, hiking trails and other outdoor activities.
Stuart Back, Chief Operating Officer, Banff Jasper Collection by Pursuit, observed: “Located in one of the most pristine mountain landscapes in the Canadian Rockies, the re-imagined Miette Mountain Cabins invites visitors to stay at the doorstep of a stunning wilderness experience.”
Back added: “To ensure we are taking steps to honour this special place and in respect of the historical and cultural significance of these lands, we have collaborated with the Indigenous communities for this renaming.”
The recent renovations include 10 re-imagined Pioneer Cabins designed with contemporary yet casual mountain décor along with a redesigned main lodge lounge. The refresh will also include additional guests room upgrades, anticipated to be completed this May.
Amenities of the multi-concept cabins and lodge experience include a heated outdoor pool and hot tub along with outdoor barbecues, perfect for spending a relaxing evening with family and friends. Guests can also enjoy activities including snowshoeing in winter and biking and exploring an abundance of hiking trails in summer.
Miette Mountain Cabins is one of seven Jasper hotels by Pursuit. These accommodations provide a convenient base for exploring one of Canada’s beloved national parks and experiencing Pursuit’s attractions and culinary experiences. These include the Columbia Icefield Adventure, Columbia Icefield Skywalk, Glacier View Lodge at the Columbia Icefield, dining and boat tour adventures at Maligne Lake and the Maligne Canyon Wilderness Kitchen near Jasper. Miette Mountain Cabins is located a scenic 30-minute drive from the Jasper townsite.
Richard Cooper, Director of Operations, Jasper Lodging by Pursuit, noted that: “As we continue to invest in the Jasper community, we are honoured to be part of a larger initiative, led by our Indigenous partners to rename this historic area,” “We are thankful to be able to work diligently in collaboration with our First Nation communities to help preserve such an incredible place.”
