Playa Adds Two To Its Canadian Team
Playa Hotels & Resorts has announced two new additions to its team in Canada.
Christopher Jeffrey-Racine joins the company as the new Business Development Manager for Quebec and Atlantic Canada and Andi Bacho in the role of Business Development Manager, covering Ontario effective Jan. 16, 2023.
The two new additions have more than 30 years of combined travel industry experience in various segments.
Jeffrey-Racine, who is based in Montreal, started his career in travel with Transat Holidays as a Commercial Delegate and Destination Representative in the Dominican Republic. When he returned to Canada, he began his journey as a BDM in the Quebec market with Transat Holidays and most recently Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
Bacho began her career in the industry in Santiago, Chile as a Travel Advisor and transitioned to Bilingual Customer Service Rep for Air France at the Santiago, Chile International Airport. Bacho continued her work in Travel over the past 20 years in Ontario in various customer-facing roles including her most recent role as Travel Advisor at LatitudesPlus Smart Travel.
These are exciting times for Playa Resorts as it continues to expand its portfolio including its most recent openings of Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya, Jewel Punta Cana and Jewel Palm Beach.
The company recognizes the importance of working with the travel agency community and believes the additional support that Jeffrey-Racine and Bacho will bring to the Canada market will allow it the opportunity to ensure the Canadian team continues to have a strong and focused presence in the industry
