This year’s edition of the ever-popular Christmas Market is now open in the Munich Airport Center Forum. For the 19th straight year, the big covered space between the terminals has been turned into a winter wonderland. Visitors can stroll between more than 40 stands that offer seasonal foods and refreshments, local handicrafts and unique gift ideas. And at the heart of the market is the perennial highlight – the 600-sq.-m. ice rink, where visitors can lace on skates or test their skills at Eisstockschiessen – Bavaria’s traditional broom-free version of curling. Skating is free of charge and rental skates are available at a nominal fee.
