Visit Utah has announced a new incentive for those participating in its Walker Tracker Challenge to virtually walk across the state: the Turkey Trot Thanksgiving 5K.

On Nov. 26, coinciding with American Thanksgiving, all those completing at least a five kilometre walk or run, and post a photo to their news feed doing so and recording this to the Visit Utah Walker Tracker app will be entered into a draw for one of two $200.00 gift cards to purchase a new pair of running shoes.

Keep Stepping:

Even those that have already completed the Utah Walker Tracker map can continue to use the app right through until Dec. 18, 2020. They will walk across other badges that get recorded and be able to continue to track steps both individually and in teams in the leaderboards.

Fast Fun Facts:

There are 820 participants currently walking across Utah.

Participants have recorded a total of more than 157 million steps to date as a group.

The average daily step count by a registered walker is 8,376 per day.
