Tourism Ireland welcomed 12 Canadian Chamber of Commerce executives — in partnership with Aer Lingus and affinity group tour operator Indus Travels — to showcase Ireland as a top leisure destination.
The aim of the early October visit was to allow the senior executives to familiarize themselves with the Emerald Isle and the wide range of bucket list experiences for visitors to see and do, equipping the attendees to successfully lead once in a lifetime vacations, driving immediate bookings for 2023 group travel.
The lively itinerary began in the capital city of Dublin and travels through Ireland’s Ancient East, along to Belfast and ending in Armagh, Northern Ireland. Highlights and icons along the way include The Guinness Storehouse, Powerscourt Estate, EPIC the Irish Emigration Museum, Glendalough, Newgrange, and Titanic Belfast.
Sandra Moffatt, Manager, Canada, said “We are delighted to partner with Indus and Aer Lingus on this familiarization trip to showcase first hand some of our iconic and bucket list experiences on the island of Ireland to this influential group of travel leaders. With year-round access into Dublin from Toronto, we are excited to be welcoming back visitors in every season, and small-group travel is a top priority. Our hope is that these important guests will return home more enthused and excited about Ireland than ever – and continue to help us build demand for the island of Ireland in 2023!”
