Give this dog a cookie … or two … or three …
Hagerstown, Maryland’s Stone House Urban Winery is going to the dogs, so to speak, but don’t worry, it’s all good.
The winery has enlisted their 11-year-old dog, Soda Pup to deliver wine to its customers.
All began when the winery went to delivery and pick-up, and the 75-pound boxer started carrying orders to the customers.
In case you’re wondering, Soda Pup can hold two bottles of wine at a time in his saddlebag.
Lori Yata, the owner of the winery and of Soda Pup, places a couple of treats in the pack, along with a bottle or two of wine.
So, things work out for everyone, customers who don’t want to come in contact with people get their wine and Soda Pop gets his treats.
Even before the pandemic, Soda Pup was quite social, hanging around the winery greeting customers, with many of them sitting on the floor drinking wine with him or taking him outside.
And now his new delivery duties let Soda Pup continue to see his friends.
