On a cold, rainy, mid-October night in Toronto this week, representatives from The Florida Keys & Key West brought a little sunshine and warmth as they welcomed travel trade types to Vantage Venue in the city’s downtown.
The evening included an update on the latest news from the sub-tropical island chain as well as the chance to view an exhibition of photographs taken in the Florida Keys by Canadians Randy and Spencer VanDerStarren of Take Your Seat.
The photo exhibition showcased the natural beauty of The Keys, including elements that make the island chain iconic for both visitors and local.
The Florida Keys & Key West’s island feel is one of the big draws of the area which welcome over 3.9 million visitors who stayed two days or more in 2021.
Jerry Grymek, Canadian representative for The Florida Keys & Key West in Canada, welcomed the group, noting that the evening was all about offering ‘a taste of The Florida Keys & Key West,’ along with ‘a little warmth on a cold Toronto evening.”
