Trinidad & Tobago were inviting Canadians to consider investing in the country during a Toronto conference this week, including in its tourism sector. Shelley-Ann De Gazon, senior marketing specialist for the Trinidad & Tobago Tourism Development Company Limited, in Toronto for the event, noted there have been a number of positive tourism developments for her homeland, including WestJet’s decision to continue Toronto-Port of Spain service that was to have ended in April throughout the year. “Trinidad & Tobago is not just sun and sand. Canadians can have a lot of experiences where they can do tours with the locals, party with the locals. It’s so much more than just being in a resort,” she said.
