Ami Allon (r), Consul for Israel Tourism — Canada, and the Israel Ministry of Tourism hosted a group of travel industry personnel yesterday (Nov. 18) in Toronto for a breakfast presentation featuring guest speaker Shahar Shilo (l), a biblical history and archaeology expert of the Holy Land from Jerusalem. Describing Israel as “the world’s museum,” Shilo discussed recent archaeological finds as well as some of the country’s hidden tourism gems, such as underground Jerusalem, the Gospel Trail, agricultural tourism and the wine industry and bird watching.
