Cunard Line’s Queen Elizabeth was greeted by hundreds of fans during its inaugural visit to San Francisco over the weekend. Coming from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on its 2012 World Cruise, the stop in the City by the Bay marked its first and only maiden call to the US this year. The youngest of Cunard’s fleet, the newest Queen’s arrival was celebrated during a traditional maritime ceremony aboard, during which port officials and dignitaries exchanged decorative plaques with Captain Christopher Wells to commemorate the momentous visit.
