NYC & Company, along with 22 travel industry partners were in Toronto yesterday to promote New York City as part of its largest-ever Canadian Mission which takes in four cities from July 22-26. The cross-Canada tour is designed to help contribute to the city’s goal of achieving US$70 billion in tourism economic impact and 55 million annual visitors by 2015. Member companies include hotels, attractions, retail and cultural institutions and organizations offering numerous experiences exclusive to New York City. Canada is one of New York City’s leading international markets, and last year welcomed an estimated 1,063,000 visitors. The mission stops by Montreal today (July 23), followed by Calgary (July 24) and Vancouver (July 25).
