World-famous Oktoberfest kicked off this past weekend in Munich. For 16 days, the sights, sounds and tastes of Oktoberfest can also be enjoyed at Munich Airport. Numerous employees swap out their uniforms for a traditional dirndl dress or lederhosen and the airport brew master offers a special festival beer created just for the occasion. The celebrations even go airborne: for the 12th straight year, Lufthansa’s popular “Oktoberfest crew” will delight international passengers on a variety of routes by donning traditional Bavarian costumes in the airline’s corporate colours.

Oktoberfest is also celebrated in Munich Airport’s shops, restaurants and Airbräu, the airport brewery.
