Hacienda Encantada guests can now experience an ancient temazcal ceremony at the hotel’s new temazcal. An important Mayan practice, the temazcal is a traditional sweat lodge used for cleansing rituals and its health and therapeutic benefits.



During this hour-long ceremony, a temazcalero, or shaman, leads guests through the power of the four elements – water, fire, air and earth – to purify the mind, body and spirit. Guests can book the temazcal at US$65 per person. The resort also offers the Hacienda Mexican Ritual package, a 120-minute service offering the temazcal experience and a full-body massage, at US$187 per person.

The hotel’s fitness centre has also been renovated and expanded with new equipment. Guests will find newly added machines from Technogym encompassing the latest technology and workout trends, like a Skillrow rowing machine and Excite Live Synchro elliptical.
