Jerusalem is hosting its first-ever International Ice Festival, featuring artistic ice sculpture displays, ice skating rinks and a special ice bar at the Old Jerusalem Train Station through April 13. The festival has transformed the Old Jerusalem Train Station into a magical “ice world” showcasing dozens of specially commissioned colourful ice sculptures created by Chinese artists. The festival also features ice skating performances, including characters from well-known children’s stories. a fantasy arena with fairytale scenes and unique ice slides. and an ice bar including ice sculptures by Jerusalem-based artists and a replica of the Jaffa Gate made entirely out of ice. The festival will also showcase a “Jerusalem of Ice” exhibition displaying ice sculptures of the Tower of David and the Montefiore Flour Mill, among others.
