On Feb. 11, Gansevoort Turks + Caicos will celebrate the 3rd annual Hockey Day in Provo, a Caribbean twist on the ever-popular Hockey Day in Canada events. The resort, popular among Canadian tourist and ex-patriots, will transform its Beach Bar into the “Ice Fishing Bar,” serving Canadian favourites such as poutine and buckets of ice cold beer. Beginning at 2 p.m., guests can watch the Edmonton Oilers face off against the Ottawa Senators at the Ice Bar. At 8 p.m., the party moves down to the beach where guests can watch four Canadian teams battle it out on a large 16- by 10-foot flat screen television.
