Vancouver’s Fairmont Waterfront is teaching children about beekeepers, their tools and the Bees Caste system through a vlog series called The Buzz on Bees led by the hotel’s chief beekeeper and co-founder of Hives for Humanity, Julia Common.

Created in partnership with Hives for Humanity and the Fairmont Bee Sustainable program, the videos provide lessons on what bees do, basic bee-keeping skills, foods found in the hive and what children can do from their home to help protect the bees.

This initiative is part of Fairmont Hotel & Resorts’ larger programming dedicated to learning and exploration.
