Tourism Australia took the streets of Toronto and Vancouver recently to offer a visual projection experience designed to welcome Canadians back after two years of border restrictions.
As part of the celebration of Australia’s borders reopening to all fully vaccinated Canadian visa holders, business travellers and tourists in February, Tourism Australia partnered with Air Canada to showcase to Canadian’s that Australia is open to visitors and now is the time to think big when booking vacations.
Vancouver and Toronto passersby flocked to the video projections of Australia’s landscapes and wildlife which appeared on buildings within high foot traffic neighbourhoods including Queen St West in Toronto and Seymour St in Vancouver.
Also included was a QR code that allowed Canadians to enter a giveaway to win two business class flights from Canada to Australia, courtesy of Air Canada.
And to spark inspiration for future visits, Tourism Australia has launched a new campaign to inspire people to take a big holiday in Australia, Don’t Go Small, Go Australia, which reminds travelers of all the incredible experiences that await them on Aussie shores for their next big break.
