It was a festive affair in Toronto this week as Cathay Pacific celebrated the official Canadian launch of its new Premium Economy seating, as well as new economy seats and a new flatbed business class seat. CX’s new Premium Economy experience features a separate cabin from economy with between 26 and 34 seats per aircraft. Seat pitch is 38 inches — six inches more than Economy Class — and the seat itself is wider and has a bigger recline. It also features a large meal table, cocktail table, footrest, a 10.6-inch personal television, an in-seat power outlet, a multi-port connector for personal devices and extra personal stowage space. Seen here, from l to r, sitting comfortably in the carrier’s new economy class seats are Cathay Pacific’s vice-president Canada, Lavinia Lau and Michael Lim, director for Canada and Central and South America for the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
