Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) recently launched a series of CWT Training Academies for travel industry personnel. The theme is “Your World of Possibilities” and emphasizes the growing opportunity for travel in the Canadian marketplace. Tourism spending in Canada is approaching $90 billion, with a far-reaching impact on the economy, according to the Conference Board of Canada. “It’s an exciting time for the travel industry,” said Louise Gardiner, CWT senior director, Associate Program, Canada. “We realize we’re now living in the experience economy. There is a shift from a focus on material goods to spending valuable time and money on creating memorable moments and experiences.
