The vaccination process of all tourism workers has started in Cuba.
The rollout of the vaccines began in Havana, with tourist drivers in the capital city, and it will be extended to the rest of the hotel and tourism workers in the main destinations in the country.
“This process will offer greater safety assurances to Canadians when visiting the island,” says Lessner Gomez, director of the Cuba Tourist Board in Toronto.
Gomez explained that tourism workers have been prioritized, along with the health personnel on the island.
He also highlighted the efforts in the vaccination process towards the goal of having 70 % of the entire population vaccinated by August.
“Cuba is safe and ready to receive Canadians when the flights resume,”he concluded.
