The Cuba Tourist Board wants to bring a little joy and excitement to celebrate Travel Agents Day at the same time to show how appreciative they are of the travel agents’ community across the country, choosing to host an agents’ photo contest to do so.

Agents were invited to enter the contest, with three judges with strong ties to the travel industry choosing the winners.

“We want to thank all the participants, we had fantastic entries which made very difficult to pick the winners”, said Lessner Gomez, director of the Cuba Tourist Board in Toronto. “The choice was difficult based on the number of terrific photo-memories that were submitted. It is obvious that the agents who participated have a special place in their heart for Cuba, and the photos they submitted reflected this,” he concluded.

After careful consideration, the judges selected the winners:

First Place: The Red Car by Karen Grant of The Travel Agent Next Door in Toronto (above)

Second Place: The Beach Experience, by Lucie Lamoureux of Vacances Bellefeuiile in Saint-Jérôme, Québec

Third Place: The Sunset by Leo-Paul Cormier of Maritime Travel in Toronto
