Caribbean tourism representatives in this country went the high-tech route to enjoy some fellowship during these days of self-isolation. The representatives hosted a virtual Caribbean Cocktail Hour, which provided a welcome break during these tough times for the tourism industry, says Jerry Grymek of LMA Communications, which carries the flag for Dominica’s tourist board in Canada.
“We shared some laughs, COVID-19 containment progress, and recent travel statistics,” Grymek reports.
“During this time of social distancing and as more people rely on video chats to see family and friends, this was a great opportunity for the Canadian Caribbean representatives to get together and share support.”
