North America’s first World Duty Free store opened at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) yesterday (Sept. 20). To mark the occasion, a $35,888 bottle of Generations Glenlivet 70 Year Old whisky was presented by Michael Urquhart, joint managing director of Gordon & MacPhail, and the grandson of the whisky-maker himself. One of the oldest whiskies from cask ever released, Glenlivet 70 is available for sale exclusively at YVR’s World Duty Free store until Nov. 1.
