The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) recently announced the winners of the 2017 Hall of Fame Awards of Excellence. HAC recognized Chelsea Hotel, Toronto’s Shalin Parikh, Health & Wellness manager, as the recipient of the “Aspiring Hotelier Award.” This award was bestowed upon Parikh for outstanding leadership and contribution to employee health, wellness and engagement. Some of Parikh’s key accomplishments include substantially raising the employee engagement survey participation; managing the hotel’s environmental audit; co-chair, health and wellness committee and managing an employee benefit program.
