Ireland’s Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, Simon Coveney, switched on the green lights at Niagara Falls over the weekend as part of this year’s St. Patrick’s celebrations in Canada. Coveney is in Canada as part of the “Promote Ireland” program around St. Patrick’s Day – helping to promote tourism to Ireland. The famous falls are just one of more than 200 famous landmarks and iconic sites that will go green this week as part of Tourism Ireland’s annual Global Greening initiative. Pictured are Jim Kelly, Ambassador of Ireland to Canada, Dana Welch, manager, Canada – Tourism Ireland, and Coveney.
