Family and friends, kids of all ages, and pets joined Air Canada Vacations (ACV) employees in attendance to lend a hand on Sept. 15 at Angrignon Park, participating in the Great Canadian Shoreline Clean Up. In only two hours, 50 participants collected 401 pounds of garbage littering the shoreline. The most commonly found items were bottles, cans and bottle caps, but there were a few surprises, such as a pair of downhill skis and a “no swimming” sign. The hard work was rewarded with lunch, homemade cakes, and gift bags awarded to those who collected the most litter. The team that won the grand prize, with a whopping 94 pounds of waste, was Manon Leblanc, Henri Thibault, Ryan Artola, and David Côté.
