WestJet Vacations and Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas recently hosted a group of 17 Canadian travel agents from Montreal, Toronto, Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary and Vancouver for a familiarization tour. The group were joined by WestJet Vacations reps Alison Johnson and Emily Spadafora and Caesars Entertainment’s Canadian team, Carly Braden and Joanne Lundy of Discover the World Marketing. The group stayed in the new Octavius Tower at Caesars Palace, spending a busy two days completing site inspections at the eight resorts in the Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas region — Imperial Palace, Harrah’s Las Vegas, Bally’s Las Vegas, Paris Las Vegas, Rio All Suites, Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, and Caesars Palace. Evening activities included magic and comedy at Penn & Teller, as well as singing and dancing with Motown crooners Human Nature. Some of the adventurous among the group also explored Napoleon’s Duelling Pianos at Paris, and Cleopatra’s Barge and PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace. As a special treat at the end of the fam, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor?s Authority graciously provided tickets to the NHL Awards and several agents were able to attend both the awards and the after party, where they were able to mingle with the hockey players and celebrities alike.
