Outrigger toasts love and 10,000 vow renewals
Outrigger Hotels and Resorts helped 25 couples from around the world “hoi hou ke aloha,”or fall in love all over again this Valentine’s Day with a special vow-renewal ceremony on the shores of Waikiki Beach. And for one lucky couple, Valentine’s Day couldn’t have gotten any sweeter, as they were recognized as being the 10,000th couple to renew their wedding vows with Outrigger Reef on the Beach and Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach since the program began ten years ago in 2003. The honoured couple, Matthew and Kimberly DeCovich, from Waterford, Michigan, is in the islands to celebrate their fifth anniversary. The lucky couple received a $100 gift card to Kani Ka Pila Grille and a complimentary four-night stay in an ocean view room for their next visit to either Outrigger Reef on the Beach or Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach courtesy of Outrigger Hotels and Resorts. “When people think of Hawaii, they often think of romance, which is why we’re so happy to be able to offer our guests the opportunity to renew their vows while staying at our beachfront properties,”said Patsy Narimatsu, director of sales and marketing for Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach and Outrigger Reef on the Beach. “Last week, our guests Johann and Christiane Raush travelled all the way from Germany to celebrate their 20th anniversary with our complimentary vow-renewal ceremony, which the couple said brought tears to their eyes, just like their wedding day 20 years ago.”Vow-renewal ceremonies are held year-round at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach and Outrigger Reef on the Beach. Open exclusively to hotel guests, the ceremonies take place at 7:45 a.m. every Monday and Thursday at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach and every Tuesday and Friday at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. Couples must make an advance reservation at their respective hotel’s concierge desk by 3 p.m. the day prior to the ceremony. (http://www.outriggerreef.com)
