On tour with Adventure Canada
Adventure Canada’s new Expeditions 2014 brochure lists Newfoundland, Sable Island, the Arctic, Labrador and Greenland, and Antarctica itineraries.
Land-based adventures include ones in Quebec that revolve around birdwatching; a Churchill, Man., visit to see polar bears; and two Newfoundland tours.
Adventure Canada offers opportunities to experience both nature and indigenous cultures. Its 118-passenger Sea Adventurer was built for expeditions to remote locales and is a “handsome vessel in the style of great ocean liners – varnished wood, brass and wooden decks.”
Ship amenities include a lounge, spa and library. It has a fleet of Zodiacs to carry passengers on shore excursions. Musicians and other entertainers are on board.
