Not everything is easy to achieve … Wolf Paunic writes the next chapter in Voices of Travel

In this week’s episode of Voices of Travel: The Next Chapters, Wolf Paunic. who has spent close to four decades in the industry, tells his story. Paunic covers a lot of ground as he reflects on his career, which began in the early 1980s, offering his thoughts on coach tours, technology and sustainability.

When asked whether the industry was doing enough in the area of sustainability, Paunic responded: “Yes … I think that there are certain leaders who are very, very active and they have the voice and they have the traction that we need.”

But he continued: “On the other hand, I believe that in today’s media — which tends to always polarize issues — there are many voices speaking against travel. I think that the truth is in the middle. We all know how many jobs travel brings to the local communities; now when we overlay sustainability and ensure that those communities get a fair share of the earnings from travel, we are really talking true progress. Is that easy to achieve and is it linear – I don’t think so.”
