Las Vegas Remains No. 1 Trade Show Destination
Las Vegas has been named the No. 1 trade show destination for the 21st consecutive year, according to the Trade Show News Network’s (TSNN) “2014 TSNN Top 250 Trade Shows in the United States” list.
Las Vegas hosted 60 of the largest shows held in the US last year, up from the 53 it hosted in 2013.
The coveted list by Trade Show News Network represents the largest 250 trade shows held in the US last year, ranked by net square footage. The 60 shows in Las Vegas encompassed 22.3 million net square feet, or 33% of the total space for all 250 shows. The two largest single shows were Conexpo-CON/AGG at 2.4 million net square feet, followed by International CES at more than 2.1 million net square feet. Both of these shows were held in Las Vegas.
“It’s no surprise that Las Vegas once again captured the No. 1 spot on the 2014 TSNN Top 250 Trade Show list,” said TSNN president Rachel Wimberly. “With world-class convention facilities and services, combined with topnotch hotels, restaurants and entertainment, Las Vegas continues to attract the biggest shows in the US.”
Vegas’ two closest competitors were Orlando with 26 shows and Chicago hosting 24.
