LA Tourism’s CEO sends message to the travel agent community
Following the recent wildfires in Los Angeles, Adam Burke, president & CEO of Los Angeles Tourism has shared a heartfelt video message for the travel agent community.
“While the physical damage was mostly contained to areas like the Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Altadena, parts of northern Pasadena, and the Castaic Lake in Northern Los Angeles County, the emotional toll was felt citywide,” Burke wrote in a statement. “During this challenging time, the tourism and hospitality industry swiftly responded, securing accommodations for the displaced, providing meals, and creating donation hubs. At the heart of it all are Angelenos—our angels—who remain hopeful for brighter days ahead.”
“We are deeply grateful to you, our global travel advisors, for your commitment to Los Angeles and for inspiring confidence in your clients as they plan their trips to our incredible city,” Burke continued. “You understand better than anyone that booking travel to Los Angeles is one of the most impactful ways to support our city’s recovery efforts. We can assure you that the majority of LA’s landmarks, attractions, restaurants, and hotels are open and safely welcoming guests.”
