KTO and Air Canada team up to host Vancouver event
There is still time for travel advisors to enter the “Fall in Korea” event contest, which offers a top prize of round-trip airfare to Korea.
Other prizes include Amazon gift cards, eco bags and card wallets, Galaxy ear buds and stays at the Hanok Hotel in Seoul. The contest entry deadline is Oct. 10. To enter, agents can click here.
The contest was just one part of a recent evening presentation for travel advisors, co-hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and Air Canada. More than 100 British Columbia-based travel agents attended the show, which was held at the AMTD Versante Hotel in Richmond.
The event began with a trade market featuring a variety of Korean cultural experiences, such as tasting traditional rice wine, Korean cuisine and herbal tea, as well as a K-beauty artist demonstration. Air Canada’s preferred partners—Air Canada Vacations and duty-free shopping provider Dufry—were also present.
Following the trade show, a presentation on Korean traditional medicine explored its origins and benefits. Dufry then introduced the audience to its unique duty-free shopping experiences available in North America and Asia.
Next, KTO highlighted the latest travel trends, shared exclusive travel courses designed for agents, and introduced the “Fall in Korea” contest as part of the “Visit Korea Year” campaign.
The event concluded with presentations by Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations, showcasing their lounge services, in-flight experiences and travel packages. Air Canada also raffled off flight certificates to a lucky winner.
